01 / analysis
They measure different constraints.
A profit target describes the gain required by a phase or model. Drawdown describes the loss boundary that can end or restrict an evaluation. A target may be expressed as a percentage, while drawdown may be static, end-of-day or trailing; comparing the numbers without the method can be misleading.
02 / analysis
Read the rule in context.
Verify whether the threshold uses balance, equity, a high-water mark or real-time floating profit. Check when daily loss resets, whether open trades count, how commissions and swaps are treated, and whether the rule changes between challenge, verification and funded phases.
03 / analysis
A safer way to compare.
Use the target matrix and drawdown matrix as indexes, then open the dated record for the selected account size. Treat the result as a research aid, not as a forecast of passing, profitability or payout approval.
