Published rule snapshot
Official source reviewed 2026-09-05 · This is a dated reading aid, not a substitute for Apex Trader Funding’s live terms. The current Intraday Trailing Evaluation page lists 30 calendar days of access, no minimum trading days, no Daily Loss Limit, fixed contract limits and a real-time trailing threshold. The published account table covers $25K, $50K, $100K and $150K evaluations with profit targets of $1,500, $3,000, $6,000 and $9,000 and maximum intraday drawdowns of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,000 respectively. After passing, the source states that the corresponding Performance Account must be activated within 7 calendar days. Confirm the exact product, platform and current terms before paying.

Loss limits
Start with the loss mechanism, not the headline account size. In the Intraday model, the threshold follows the highest balance in real time, including unrealized profit, and never moves downward. The official example for a $50K evaluation uses a $2,000 trailing distance: an initial threshold of $48,000 becomes $48,900 if peak balance reaches $50,900. Touching or crossing the threshold can liquidate positions and fail the evaluation. Record whether the product uses Intraday or EOD measurement, how equity is calculated, the contract cap, the target, the access window, prohibited activity and the platform-specific exceptions.

Keep the comparison current
Passing an evaluation and requesting a payout are separate checkpoints. The current Intraday PA payout page lists its own requirements, including five qualifying trading days, a minimum daily-profit threshold by account size, a $500 minimum payout, a 50% consistency condition and a maximum of six payouts per Performance Account. Those conditions should not be copied into an evaluation snapshot. Use the dated account records, the target comparator and the change history to keep product, phase and effective date separate.

Practical answers
Frequently asked questions
How does the Apex Trader Funding trailing threshold work?
In the current Intraday Evaluation guide, the threshold follows the account's highest balance in real time, including unrealized profit, and never moves down. If the account touches or falls below it, the evaluation can be liquidated and failed. The distance and account parameters depend on the selected product and size.
Does the Apex Intraday Evaluation have a Daily Loss Limit?
The current official Intraday Evaluation page states that it has no Daily Loss Limit. That does not remove the real-time trailing threshold or other trading restrictions, and EOD and Performance Account rules are separate.
Can an Apex evaluation be passed in one trading day?
The current evaluation guide says no minimum trading days are required. Reaching the applicable target is not enough by itself: the account must also comply with the loss threshold and all other current rules.
Are Apex payout rules the same as evaluation rules?
No. Payout eligibility applies to a Performance Account and has separate conditions such as qualifying days, minimum balance, consistency and payout limits. Check the provider's current payout document instead of inferring payout rules from an evaluation snapshot.
